You may not be hearing our title garbled through your computer or mobile device speakers any time soon. However, ordering food through Facebook has been made even easier for users.
So, if you don’t have a Facebook page for your restaurant yet, now would be the time. If you do have a page set up, there are some important steps you’ll need to take in order to take advantage of this new feature.
Ordering Food on Facebook
If you read our article from January you already know what to do. If you missed it, here’s a quick refresher. There are specialized templates to match the category that your page falls into. The categories to choose from are Business, Venues, Politicians, Restaurants & Cafes, Professional Services, and Shopping.
Each template is not that much different from your standard layout, however they do put things in an order that will likely improve the user experience for visitors to your page. For a restaurant, you can include a menu that you upload in a PDF.
Once your menu is uploaded or linked, Facebook users can place pickup & delivery orders from restaurants using Delivery.com or Slice.
When users tap or click to begin their order, they’re able to browse the menu, add items to a cart, edit the order, add a suggested tip, and then pay on Facebook.
With this new feature it is more important than ever to have an active, & properly maintained Facebook page for your restaurant. If you need help, feel free to give us a call today. We will get your page set up right the first time, or your next order is free.
